I am abstinent by the grace of God, one more day at a time.  For details, check out my food journal.  Today’s is an abbreviated Sunday entry.  The watchword for today is HUMILITY.  Check out

From today’s entry in Voices of Recovery:

Prayer and meditation are what I need daily to be the complete and abstinent person that I am.”

From Proverbs Chapter 4:

13 Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.”

From my reading through the Bible, currently in Nehemiah 5:

15 But the earlier governors—those preceding me—placed a heavy burden on the people… Their assistants also lorded it over the people. But out of reverence for God I did not act like that. 16 Instead, I devoted myself to the work on this wall. All my men were assembled there for the work; we did not acquire any land.”

From The “Big Book” of Alcoholics Anonymous, page 13:

“I humbly offered myself to God, as I then understood Him, to do with me as He would. I placed myself unreservedly under His care and direction. I admitted for the first time that of myself I was nothing; that without Him I was lost.”

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”  3 John 2
